Our Purpose
The purpose, vision and mission of LGL
At Laurier Gift of Life, our team members strive to:
Educate and raise awareness about the importance of Organ/Tissue donation to the Laurier student body as well as the communities of the Waterloo Region, Ontario, and beyond
Increase Ontario’s Organ/Tissue Donor Registration numbers through Trillium Gift of Life Network’s BeaDonor.ca website as well as Service Ontario
Lobby the Ontario Minister of Education to include Organ/Tissue donation into the Ontario High School curriculum to ensure ALL Ontarians are able to make an informed decision when asked if they want to be a donor when renewing their health card at age 16
Lobby all Provincial Governments of Canada to make changes, policies, curriculums, and recommendations to publicly acknowledge, raise awareness, and educate their civilians about the lack of Organ Donors in their respective Province
